We offer custom made running rigging, dock lines and mooring lines, and any other type of cordage product required for any length of yacht, boat or marine vessel. Splice's Etc. prides itself in using only quality manufacturers of rope for lines that keep on working.
Splice's Etc. offers custom work on every project whether it is a mainsheet for a 14' sailboat or a 1" diameter double braid dock line.
Our lines are made to your specifications regarding eye size, chafe protection, shackles, thimbles or anything else spliced to the line. The bitter end is hand whipped or back spliced to keep the braid from unraveling.
Why Splice's Etc.?
I have been splicing Double Braid lines for yacht applications for more than ten years. I learned to splice three-strand as a kid in Boy Scouts and never really forgot that. When I was preparing to go cruising I wanted to be able to splice my own double braid lines as well. Since Arriving in the Kemah area in 2002 I have been splicing professionally. I have made dock lines for boats from 20' to over 100' and all types of other lines. Halyards, traveler lines, vangs, sheets, outhauls, reefing lines, safety lines, anchor bridles, snubbers, chain to rode splices, continuous lines for furlers, even a painter for a blimp!

I have spliced three-stranded line, double-braid line, parallel core line, several different single braids and, several different core-dependent lines. I taper all chain to rode splices because it is the right way to do it. While whipping the bitter end of a line is a simple termination that usually lasts the life of the line, three-strand line, double-braid line and, most single-braid lines can be back-spliced for the ultimate never come undone termination!
